2017 was equally the busiest yet most relaxing year since Kylee Ann Photography went full-time in 2013.
Not only was I pregnant for 38/52 weeks of 2017 while mommin’ two kids, but I traveled SO. dang. much. By the time I finished first trimester I had traveled to New York, Washington, North Carolina, California and St George. I hosted a Kylee Ann Sleepover in Alaska, took my family to Seaside, and traveled to Washington seven times (I think, but I lost track).
Meanwhile, I had a strong team back in Utah keeping things running every step of the way. I collected onesies and snapped photographs everywhere I went, but most importantly I captured real moments and told a lot of stories.
I started 2017 with some big goals, and a clear purpose: intentional storytelling.
I believe ANYONE can take a snapshot. I watched my 80 year old grandma do it last night with her cell phone camera. I believe MOST people can learn how to take an amazing picture. But real talent comes from finding and telling meaningful stories. And that’s what I strived to do every time I lifted my camera in 2017.
I’ve found more purpose in what I do for myself, my brides and my families. Because what we do as photographers matters.
This is my 2017 highlight reel of love stories – featuring couples in Washington, Alaska, North Carolina and of course, Utah
