I usually save the best for last, but when you get started planning your wedding, there are some fun things to do to kick off your engagement & prepare for the hard decisions & planning to come. Here’s the deal: you can’t do it alone. It can get quite stressful, so having toys to relieve stress is one thing I recommend you have in plenty. Believe me. And it can’t be done. You’re going to need your guys and your gals by your side. And your moms and dads and in laws too. It takes a village to plan a wedding. So use your bridal party as much as possible, and spoil them as much as possible too. Spoil them with thanks and love and appreciation. And maybe sometimes shower them with gifts, too.

Bridesmaids & Groomsmen Gifts

One of my favorite things about wedding planning is the gifts that I get to give away and the interactions that I’ve had with our bridal party. They are so supportive & helpful. Splurging on yourself is acceptable when you’re planning a wedding. The make-up, the hair combs, the dress and shoes… But splurging on someone else is just as fun. I think it’s actually good for your soul.

It’s okay to splurge a little bit

There’s all kinds of ways to find the perfect gifts. Matching group gifts can be a fun way to unify your bridal party. Personalized gifts can also be meaningful and special, even if they don’t all match. Here’s some of the gifts we gave:

On a website devoted to groovy guy gifts, my fiancé & I found a perfect gift for his best man. He give people haircuts, so we got him a bag he can use to put all of his haircuts supplies. Most of the gifts can be personalized, so we put his initials on it to make it more special. There were so many gifts on the website & the hardest part was picking out which gift to give. (And some of them we wanted for ourselves). If I had a million dollars I would get beautiful personalized gifts for everyone in my bridal party.

I decided to get something for my mom. My mom is the most patient mother-of-the-bridezilla. But I had no idea what to get. Luckily, on the neighboring website for the bridesmaids, I found the absolute perfect gift. Mom is a big traveler. She also loves dainty beautiful sparkly things & owns a million earrings & rings & bracelets & necklaces. So many that they don’t all fit in the vanity she bought for her jewelry. Some of it is so old, she’s had it since high school, some are from the thrift shop and some are memorable gifts she’s received through the years.

As I was scrolling, on the website, I found this precious little traveling jewelry case & I knew it was meant for my mom. I was so pleased when I arrived because it is the cutest little traveling jewelry case I’ve ever seen. It’s a good thing I put her initials on the front, so I couldn’t steal it for myself.
