A Day To Remember

We often hear weddings described as “the best day of your life”, “the most important day of your life”, “a day to remember”… It’s every bride and groom’s dream to feel this way on that special day. In all reality, it can be a very high stress day, and if you’re not careful, you may be disappointed. It breaks my heart to see that happen to my brides and grooms. Here’s a few tips to help you prepare, so that you’ll have no regrets about your wedding day.

Look At Your Love

I just watched the Jim & Pam wedding episode of The Office. *SPOILER ALERT* It struck me as I watched that literally everything was going wrong, and yet they were so calm and happy and there I was bawling my eyes out as I watched it all unfold. I know it’s just a show, but it made me realize that: in the midst of the chaos, when things are getting crazy, people are being weird, and it gets a bit messy, all you have to do is look at your groom. Look him right in the eyes and smile. Focus on him, and the smile will never leave your face.

   Goodbyes

It’s times like these that you start to feel the passing of time. Wedding Ceremonies are loaded with symbolism of giving yourself to a new life and letting go of your past. It’s a time to spend with family in a unique way. Don’t let the day pass you by without receiving the congratulations of loved ones and hanging with your girls.

A Celebration of Love

A wedding is a celebrations of love. It’s an ageless worldwide tradition to honor the beauty of unity, love and commitment. It’s a reminder to married and unmarried people of the power that love has to bring people together. Don’t worry so much about the agenda and activities you have planned for the reception that you forget that you’re there to party. Don’t stand in a receiving line all night, or listen to speeches – get out there, have some fun, and realize how great it is to be a bride.

Beauty and the Beast

In the new BATB movie, the scene with the ball at the beginning is insane. Everything is beautiful and perfect. It was so tragic to see all that beauty turn grey and dusty and forgotten. But then in come Emma Watson as Belle in that golden dress. That dancing scene was a dream, am I right? Which scene was more magical?
Don’t compare your castle to another’s. Your dance will be different. Your dress will be different. What makes your day magical is the people you spend it with. ESPECIALLY on the day of your wedding, let all the comparisons and expectations go, and just live in the moment. Be a princess, and see your prince for who he is inside and you’ll remember that moment for the rest of your life.
