It was a few years ago when Adam first laid eyes on a cute girl at that birthday party. She was outspoken, friendly and totally beautiful. That fateful day when they were both in the middle of all the woes, stress and memories that come during high school would forever change his life. Since that day, they have faced more ups and downs than most other couples even attempt together. They finished high school and both separately chose to attend Utah State and it seemed as if the stars were lining up to give them a sign. They are supposed to be together. After wending their way through college courses, roommates, college jobs, and all those big life changing decisions on every corner, there emerged just one thing they could always count on. And that one thing was each other. Just a little over a week ago, Rylie and Adam were sealed for time and all eternity in the Logan Utah Temple. They were surrounded by friends and family, some of whom had driven 5 mins and many others who had traveled from Montana and Arizona to celebrate with them. Even with the chaos that a wedding day creates, the weather ended up being perfect and all the little details fell into place (chaos like forgetting the dress for a few minutes…). The wedding party was coordinated beautifully and the flowers were donated by a neighbor’s yard and arranged beautifully by Rylie’s mom, Stacie of Petals and Pastries. We had a blast soaking up the first few hours of their marriage. It was especially fun for me since half my home ward came to support, so it felt like a little family reunion for me. After the temple portraits, we headed over to the iconic Bluebird resturant in Logan, Utah. Rylie’s family has a special connection with the Bluebird so it was the perfect place for their family luncheon. A delicious dinner was served amid sweet speeches and the sweetest Elvis solo performed by Rylie’s youngest sister. There wasn’t a dry eye in the room as they expressed their love for each other and their families for supporting them. I can’t wait to see the beautiful life these two will have together. Congrats Rylie and Adam Cook!
