I lucked out this month and got two clients who wanted to take pictures on their own property. The only time I let my clients choose the location without me going to check it out first is when it’s a special place to the. The Rawlings family owns a farm in Preston, Idaho. Farming is a big part of their life. Madison’s little boy Stone loves everything about the farm. He was even a tractor for Halloween! When she told me she wanted pictures out in the field, I had no idea they could turn out this pretty!!

Getting clients to do a sunrise session can be pretty difficult. It’s cold, and hard to get everyone ready so early. But I swear, the early morning light is THEE prettiest! We kept this session short and sweet and got done in less than 30 minutes. Sometimes I’m so surprised by how many pictures we can get in a mini session. If you have young kids or a small family, a mini session is the way to go!

I hope Madison and Riley can always remember how much Stone loves them and the farm at this age. He wanted to hold his toy tractor the entire shoot. He was NOT a fan of my camera, but he loved playing with his mommy and daddy in the field. When they were walking back towards me I pulled out my camera to take a picture and he started yelling “No! NO! NO! No!” It was priceless! Even with him not loving the camera we got some really tender pictures! The pictures with mom and dad one on one are my favorite!
