Back in January I made a photography bucket list for the year! [Link here] One of my bucket list items was to shoot a blush dress bride this year. A short time later, I had a consultation with Cara where we talked all about her dreams and plans for her wedding. Then she mentioned her custom-made blush pink dress she was planning and I basically melted!! Cara was going to be my blush bride! Needless to say, their engagement session was flawless. [See links here + here] I totally fell in love with their vibe and have been patiently waiting for their bridals ever since.

Christian came in his custom made blue Zoteri suit and a floral tie Cara brought back from a recent vacation to Korea. Cara was a vision in her dress, florals by the Potted Pansy and she told me she couldn’t find shoes she liked so she decided to go without. So she became my barefoot blush bride. (*Insert hearts for eyes!*) Then what followed was my favorite first look of all time. Christian read a short letter from Cara, that got him in the feels and when he turned around it wasn’t a contrived moment at all. It was true love and the promise of eternity he was seeing in her eyes and the dress was just the cherry on top. It was so special to witness!

We shot the first part of the session at the Burgess Orchards in Alpine, UT. We were drawn to the long tree long of lodge pole pines and the light was dreamily streaming through. Cara’s dress and veil were flying in the wind and each time it was basically taking my breath away. These two get married next Thursday and the best part is that this session isn’t over with these pictures! We headed to a different location with a pond, treehouse, dry creek bed and lovely green field which we will save until their wedding day.
