I posted a picture of Luke and his ponytail doing some construction and now the questions are pouring in. You bought a house? Where are you moving? When are you moving? Luke has a ponytail?? etc etc. So here’s the story!!
My parents took on a new real estate endeavor to save on taxes, which involved buying house. One to buy and flip. One for renting. etc. Luke had his eye on this beauty in Cliffside for a while. He took my mom to see it when she was here for Piper’s birth. They found out it was on auction a few days later, so they went together and Mom bought it. AHHH! Now Luke, my uncle, and my father-in-law are ripping it to the core and flipping it! The rest of the renovation was left to the professionals from a home remodeling company in Everett Washington. New carpet, new floors, new paint, electricians, plumbers and construction galore! We will be renting it from my parents until they can sell it (which looks like 5 years). Then we are planning on buying it from them!
So no, we did not buy a home….yet. But yes, we are moving. And hopefully soon! Our plan is to be in by March. The house is in Cliffside, which is up center street in Logan overlooking the Valley. Oh and yes, Luke has a ponytail! And yes…he does wear it in public. We are soooo blessed with this amazing opportunity and cannot wait to finish making this house our home.
Here’s a sneak peek:
The house has five rooms total. There are three rooms upstairs, a laundry room, TWO bathrooms (hallelujah) and a landing big enough for a little office. Piper and Brody will both have their own rooms. The middle floor is a huge living room, a kitchen and dining room, a powder room AND a studio (woot!). The basement has two bedrooms, lots of storage and a huge family room. We are excited to have lots of space to grow into. My favorite parts are all the windows which we just got cleaned by hiring the commercial window cleanse company which helped us during the renovations of our office as well. I also love the natural light, my own studio space and the backyard!
