Amanda and Cody got engaged in Italy. Cody told Amanda that she had to meet Nona so they flew to Italy. Amanda suspected that they were going to get engaged. Cody planned everything perfectly! Meeting Cody’s grandma Nona was so special because she traveled so far to be at the wedding.It only made sense to have little hints of Italy all throughout their wedding since it was such a fun part of their story.

When I arrived at the wedding venue everything was being set up by family and friends. As soon as I got their the wedding coordinator said that they had such a good crew setting up. It was so true. Everywhere I went family and friends were busy at work. Amanda was so calm and helping decorate. When the time came she went into the bride’s room to put her dress on. I joined her to photograph her mom, soon-to-be mother-in-law, and sisters helping her get her dress perfect. I always love the quiet or chaotic, moments spent in the brides room before the wedding.

The first time Cody saw Amanda was when she walked down the aisle. Amanda opted to have just a bridal session instead of a formal session because the walking down the aisle moment meant so much to them. The venue had quite a bit of windows and seeing Cody look all around, trying to sneak a peak of Amanda was the sweetest thing.

Amanda and Cody have been dating for 7 years so every single guest at their wedding was just SO excited for this day. They had pictures lining the railing of all their memories over the last 7 years. I always love when my couples do this because it really invites the guests of the wedding to become part of their story. It makes you feel like you’ve been along the entire journey with them. All day long Cody and Amanda thanked everyone for coming. I was so impressed with how much they were able to think about other people. They made sure to make it around the entire luncheon.
