Writing a blog has never been so hard. Cori and Jacob’s wedding was amazing. Cori is a very talented writer, with a whole gang of writing friends. One of them was their officiate. She did an incredible job sharing their love story, and really showing Cori and Jacob’s personalities. I wish I could copy and paste. Jacob and Cori were both not looking for love, but found it any ways. They couldn’t be more perfect for each other.
The wedding day was so perfect. I pulled up to the Northampton House Reception Center in American Fork, Utah. There were big puffy clouds, and bright blue skies above. The roses were blooming in the arbor, and the grass was super green. Everything looked fresh, and wonderful. Chaos had begun inside with family and friends decorating and getting themselves ready. The Northampton House did a great job on making sure Cori and her bridesmaids had everything they needed, including their bouquets, a pitcher of water and some fruit to munch on. The girls and boys separated to get ready, then the ceremony begun. It was sweet, tender, funny and almost dangerous (she didn’t fall…just almost ;)).
After the ceremony everyone exited into the dining hall for a delicious meal with all their family and friends. The reception begun a few hours later. Lots of dancing and fun were involved. My absolute favorite part was the mint cake. Yep, mint…my favorite. Actually, the true best part was catching up to some of my childhood friends. Cori is aunt to one of my best friends from high school. Plus, some of our old ward and stake friends stopped by. I had a great time spending the day with Cori, Jacob and their wonderful families.
