It all started with a momma and her love for turquoise! This family grew up in the American Southwest. While they were there, they grew a great love for the Native American culture. When they contacted me for Commercial Jewelry Photography, I was so excited!
The Black family began collecting turquoise jewelry everywhere they went. If you ask Pat or Mariah, they could show you their turquoise rings from decades ago that they’ve proudly worn. Mariah wears a turquoise ring her dad made when he was in high school. Pat wears a turquoise ring she got from her dad.
Piece by Culture jewelry is handcrafted by these Native Americans. Each ring is unique. There are no restocks, and no matches. Turquoise is a stone of healing, protection and beauty.
Mariah and Pat have a passion for jewelry and a passion for people. They are two of the kindest women I’ve met. Fun to work with, easy to hang out with and so compassionate. I love being able to shoot for their brand! They had a vision of what they wanted their brand to be on day 1, and it’s stayed consistent.
