3 Reasons You Should Schedule An Extended Family Session
- Legacy Matters — There is always a moment during an extended family session where you feel the generations connect. You get to see the grandparents connecting with their kids, and their kid’s kids. The grandkids are playing with each others. The parents almost seem like kid’s themselves as they are joking around with their siblings. That’s actually my favorite part. The grown adults acting like kids again in a way that they only do with their siblings. Legacy matters so so much. Pictures should capture smiles as well as connection. Pictures and stories are some of the only things you can pass down.
- It’s Always Hard To Get Together — I think the number one reason for not getting extended family pictures is that it’s hard to get together. I promise it’s always going to be hard together. I’ve shot an extended family session at noon at temple square in Salt Lake City, hours after a missionary returned home. It’s hard to get a big group of people together, but it’s worth it!
