This is a story of how a Facebook classified post actually worked out and even got a new friend out of it. I’ve been in business for eight years. In that time I’ve been attacked by hundreds of friends, family members, and strangers in the Facebook classifieds when someone is in search of a photographer. Typically I’m beaten out by the $25 photographers. And that’s OK.
I teach in many classes that we’re not competing with free or $25 photographers. Those clients are not looking in our budget and we are not missing out on business because we never were going to be considered in the first place. One of my friends tagged me in Facebook post of a woman looking for commercial photography, which is my specialty.
Typically I say thank you to the person that tag me and we my website but this one got me excited so I linked to my commercial work and told him how excited I was to be considered. Maria reached out and it was a match made in heaven. Not only is their business exactly the type of products that I love to photograph in my studio, but she is just the sweetest new friend.
Maura runs Barefoot at Heart. Their first product is these adorable kneepads for babies and toddlers learning how to walk in Cross. I don’t know about you but I would have love to protect my babies knees when they were first learning. They were always covered in sad little bruises.
