The Jorgensen family’s session was one of those evenings that fills my heart. Every summer, this sweet crew makes the trip to Garden City, Utah, to celebrate their anniversary at Bear Lake. It’s a tradition that has grown even more special with their three adorable kiddos. This year, they decided to mark the occasion with Bear Lake family photos, and the entire evening was pure magic.

We had the perfect mix of spots to explore. First, the boardwalk gave us those cozy wood textures and quiet surroundings. Then, just steps away, the sandy beach opened up for wide, playful shots. I love this combination because it’s like getting two locations in one. Their gallery now has so much variety—from peaceful portraits to joyful action shots.

The Jorgensen kids brought endless energy, and it made for the best moments. We got those classic posed family portraits (a must-have), but the real magic happened in between. The kids skipped stones, chased each other along the sand, and cuddled up with mom and dad as the sun dropped low. These playful moments always bring out true personalities, which is what I love capturing most.

To finish the evening, the family ran straight into the water without hesitation. Their splash-filled laughter created some of my favorite images from the whole gallery.
