In April Mosquitos and Gnats hatch and become quite a nuisance. If you choose to still shoot during this time, bring gnat and mosquito spray with you. In the summer the spiders begin to wake up. In late July the park holds a spider festival in honor of the 8 legged creatures.

Another consideration is Antelope Island requires portrait photography passes are required for any hired photographer and/or videographer conducting sessions at Antelope Island State Park. This includes photographers utilizing the park for weddings, bridals, engagements, family groups, graduation or other posed portraiture for commercial gain. Amateurs receiving compensation (including donations or “trade”) and acting in the role of a professional are also required to obtain a Portrait Photography Pass.
