Draper Temple Wedding Photography + Red Butte Gardens Celebration | Scott & Lori
There’s a quiet kind of magic in Draper Temple wedding photography, especially when the couple’s love story is rooted in faith and second chances. Scott and Lori’s wedding day was filled with meaningful moments, heartfelt vows, and a celebration that felt both sacred and joyful from beginning to end.
Their story is one of hope, healing, and divine timing. Lori shared that the day Scott proposed, they were at the Draper Temple, participating in sealing work—something that held deep significance for her as she walked forward in faith after her divorce. As they exited the temple, Scott surprised her with roses and a ring, tied with a beautiful ribbon. It was unexpected, deeply thoughtful, and so perfectly them.

Naturally, they chose to begin their wedding day at the Draper Temple. The grounds were peaceful and glowing with soft light, and Lori and Scott radiated joy. They greeted friends and family with hugs and happy tears, completely present in the moment. Next, we captured sweet portraits around the temple grounds, where the views stretch wide and the spirit is felt in every breeze.
A Magical Day of Celebration
After the sealing, we transitioned to Red Butte Gardens for their ceremony and reception—and wow, it was pure magic. Nestled in the foothills above Salt Lake City, Red Butte was bursting with color. Lush greens, vibrant blooms, and pathways that invited guests to slow down and take in the beauty. The setting was intimate, romantic, and alive with nature.

Scott and Lori’s ceremony at the gardens felt personal and heartfelt. They said “I do” beneath the open sky, surrounding by the people they love the most. You could feel the emotion in the air—every word, every look, was filled with love and intention.
After the ceremony, the party began! Their reception was full of joyful moments, from heartfelt toasts to tender dances. The blend of sacredness at the temple and the celebration at Red Butte made this day so beautifully complete. It was a full expression of their story—faith-filled, joyful, and deeply personal.
Of course, I felt like I was witnessing something sacred and rare while I photographed Scott and Lori. Their love is quiet and strong. They support each other, laugh together, and approach life with intention and gratitude. That energy was reflected in every part of their day.
