When Analise reached out after her mom’s cancer diagnosis, I knew this session would be different. It wasn’t just about updated portraits—it was about capturing love, connection, and courage. We chose a quiet, beautiful spot in the Wellsville Mountains for their extended family photos at Box Elder Campground. It’s close to home and surrounded by nature, which made it the perfect place for something this meaningful.
This shoot wasn’t about perfectly posed smiles or matching outfits. It was about real moments—tight hugs, shared laughter, teary eyes, and gentle strength. From the second they stepped out of their cars, this family showed up with love in every interaction. That’s what made the session unforgettable.
Why Extended Family Photos Matter
Box Elder Campground gave us tall trees, soft light, and peaceful trails to work with. But even more importantly, it gave this family room to breathe and just be together. As we began, the wind kicked up strong—but instead of stressing, the family just laughed and leaned into it. They knew these photos didn’t have to be perfect to be powerful.
