Making it work

For those of you who don’t know me well, I’m big on family. I have really taken a step back from family photography and weddings to spend more time with my family. Instead, letting my amazing associate photographers take the lead on those. But I miss spending time with my clients, working with families in beautiful locations. I miss seeing my brides grow into couples and families. So I made a compromise…

Fall minis in Logan Utah mean I don’t have to travel far. Mini sessions also make it possible to schedule many clients in a short period of time. I can make lots of families happy while also keeping my family happy. It’s a win-win-win.

Fall Minis is one of the greatest traditions we have at Kylee Ann Studios. I look forward to it every year! There’s that saying, ‘if it’s not broke, don’t fix it’. I believe in that! There have been traditions I’ve changed, adjusted, and gotten rid of. But Fall Minis is not one of those. It seems to fill a need for me and my clients.

This year, the families were all so different and all so cute. The location and colors were all classic Utah. It had yellows and greens and mountains. It was the perfect backdrop for these beautiful families to shine. I loved seeing the family picture outfits. Some families dressed more casual and others more formal. Some families color coordinated perfectly and some miss-matched for interest. Still, everyone looked great.

Kylee started Kylee Ann Photography 9 years ago, and has since grown from a one woman amateur show to a full associate team. We shoot 50-75 weddings a year, and thrive on kindness and service. After a year of teaching Intro to Photography at the local technical college, she discovered that helping other entrepreneurs create thriving businesses is what fires her up! She hosts semi-annual Kylee Ann Sleepovers all over the US, speak at conferences and teach online courses about running a small business and marketing.
