Brittany and I graduated college the same day. There was not a dry eye in the room when she walked with her crutches across stage to get her diploma. It was the first time I had heard of her since the rock climbing accident that left her paralyzed and in a wheelchair. I didn’t know her then, but I did know she was a fighter.
Last fall I got to take pictures of the Franks for a Kylee Ann Passion Project. It was the first time she had her wheelchair and crutches in her family pictures. And it was such an inspiration to me to see her embrace it all with a smile. And sometimes a few tears.
She continues to fight and inspire thousands of people. This last year she even was on Good Morning America.
