These campfire engagements are some of the most unique pictures I’ve ever taken! Mackelle and Darren met last summer in their ward. They hit it off pretty well, and spent a lot of time together in their friend groups. Things kept getting more and more serious and they soon realized that they didn’t want to spend their lives apart. He made things official when he proposed a few weeks ago. Thanks to a friend, faking an emergency that required a truck he tricked her into a evening adventure! He proposed to her in a nearby park and she was so excited to say yes!

They wanted to incorporate their hobbies into their engagements. They brought their hammock and firewood. It took a few minutes to find dry enough wood to get a fire going thanks to all the rain we’ve been having. Darren got a good blaze going and they snuggled and warmed up by the fire. The best part was getting to see them in their real comfort zone! It was if I just stumbled onto one of their regular date nights!
