This photo shoot in the Mantua poppy field was perfection. It’s always a fiasco to time shoots around the poppies bloom. They only bloom for about two weeks in this spot, so as soon as we see them, we have to act extremely fast. But we made it work. And I’m so glad we did, because in that location, there is so much variety that we can get in one mini session.
Do you recognize Katelyn? If you’re a KA regular, you probably do. Katelyn is our amazing marketing assistant. We love her so much, and you should too. She understands my brain on a crazy level, and is fast and efficient in her work. What would I do without her?
Like many of the KAS team, Katelyn started out as a client and worked her way into my heart. So I’ve known her for a while as a client. I’ve taken her pictures as a senior, for prom, engagement, bridals, wedding, maternity, newborn, and family pictures.
A little bit more about Katelyn… She is stunning. Beautiful inside and out. She’s one of those perfectly kind people who you are drawn to immediately. When I’m trying to decide who to add to my team, kindness is one of the characteristics I value most.
She also has the best style. At each photoshoot, she brings the cutest outfits. Although her style has grown with her from senior pictures to wedding pictures to family pictures – she’s always been so beautiful, choosing outfits and colors to match the season and occasion. I loved what she and her family wore for this session.
I’m feel very honored to have Katelyn as a part of the KA team. I’m proud to be her friend. And to still get to be her photographer (when the poppies bloom).
Kylee Ann Maughan is a family and international brand photographer based in small-town Northern Utah. She has been a business owner for 13.5 years, and also runs a successful and award-winning associate team. Kylee hosts semi-annual retreats, speaks at conferences and teaches online courses about running a small business and marketing.
