Mantua Utah Family Pictures

Rachelle brought her 4 adorable kids to a mini session in Mantua, Utah. It was our first cold day of the fall and the winds were blowing hard. I worried about her little ones, but they stood still against the winds, smiles and all.

Rachelle is a photographer herself and you could tell by how comfortable her kiddos were in front of the camera. They turned on the cheese and left it there through the whole session and it was incredible! These kids were camera trained!

Rachelle lost her husband a little over a year ago, and last year when she booked with  Kylee Ann Studios, we were able to photoshop her late husband in with their children. Although they had to go through such a harsh tragedy, I was drawn to Rachelle’s optimism and the joyous energy you could feel in their family dynamic. I could feel the loyalty and love in each of their relationships with one another.

Rylee is the oldest and she is the steady heart and hand and the best helper. Abagail is the fun, sassy sister that I can tell keeps everyone laughing. Easton has such a kind demeanor and has a calming sense and will the such a sweetheart. And then there is Peyton and he’s the crazy little brother that I am sure gets away with EVERYTHING!

Rylee and Abagail are in dance classes and performed a number dedicated to their late father and we were able to capture a small moment that was choreographed in their dance, holding each other with their heads cozied against one another.

I love finding out fun facts about the families I shoot. The Draper family purposely named their family to spell out their last name: D-R-A-P-E-R; Devin, Rachelle, Abagail, Peyton, Easton, Rylee. I thought this was so clever and well thought out and will be special to their family forever.
