Logan Utah Extended Family Session in the Studio

I just want to start by saying I am a big freaking fan of Ellyn!! She and her darling little Rowan came and modeled for Goobie Baby while they were in town earlier this year, and she was so fun and easy to talk to. She’s a fellow photographer and I love love love chatting with her!

We’ve had these planned for months and every time I saw it on my calendar I got excited! Ellyn and her husband are from the PNW so we don’t get to cross paths much. But everyone being in town for the holidays means one very important thing! It was the perfect time for this Logan Utah Extended Family Session!

COORDINATING NEUTRALS FOR FAMILY PICTURES

When everyone walked into the doors of the Roolee Loft I about died. They all coordinated SO well! And RJ’s pop of a patterned sock made my design heart so happy. RJ and his boyfriend Matt made their way to Logan from Arizona, and it was such a joy getting to see everyone be together. Family time is just extra special now and it is so easy to see how much they all love each other.

DAD AND KIDS FAMILY PHOTOS

Ellyn’s Dad was an absolute trooper! He had broken his elbow a week before pictures, but try and notice. He was still so happy to be surrounded by his tribe. The Noble’s were so full of laughter and love. It was such a joy to be with them all.

HELP TODDLERS LOVE FAMILY PICTURES

Tiny toddlers are always in charge at family pictures! We did lots of tickles and snuggles. There were running and snack breaks! My biggest tip with tiny kiddos is to set everyone up first and insert the toddler last! Then do allllll the silly sounds and things to keep their attention! Ellyn was so smart and even had a little bubble wand to catch his attention! If you don’t have the whole group in the shot, be sure to have the toddlers favorite family member directly over your head making faces, singing, clapping, anything!

INDIVIDUAL SHOTS OF FAMILIES AT AN EXTENDED FAMIlY SESSION

Since this was an extended family, I got to pull both siblings away for their own couple sessions! Can you handle RJ and Matt on the couch?! Love love love. And Ellyn knew the perfect pose with her sweet husband Anthony. We were also sure to grab other groupings like each child with Mom and Dad and Grandma and Grandpa with their darling grandson!
