Sieler Family: A Tradition Takes Root in Box Elder County

Annual Family Photos in Box Elder County with the Sieler Family

There’s something so special about families who come back year after year. The Sieler family first booked with me for a mini session at Bear Lake. Since then, they’ve turned it into a tradition—and I’m so glad they did. This year, we captured their annual family photos in Box Elder County during peak wildflower season, and the results were pure magic.

We met up in the poppy-filled hills of Mantua, Utah—one of the most beautiful spots in Northern Utah when the blooms are in full swing. The color, the texture, the soft evening light—it all came together perfectly. After soaking in the flowers, we headed to the tree-lined trails of Box Elder Campground to finish off the evening with a cozy, woodsy vibe.

The best part about photographing returning families is the connection. The kids remembered me, which meant we skipped past the nerves and jumped straight into fun. Familiarity helps everyone relax and just be themselves, which always leads to more natural, joyful photos.

Why You Should Start Annual Family Photos in Box Elder County

If you’re local to Brigham City or anywhere nearby, consider this your sign. Wildflower season in Mantua is short, but it’s truly one of the most magical times of the year for portraits. Starting an annual photo tradition gives you a chance to document your family’s growth, year by year, with beautiful consistency.

This session with the Sielers felt more like catching up with old friends than anything else. They’re kind, easygoing, and full of love for each other. Their kids were playful, curious, and so fun to photograph. It’s families like this that make me love what I do.

Watching this tradition take root for them—and getting to be a small part of it—means the world to me. These are the photos their kids will look back on, year after year. What an incredible gift to give your future self.
