Amanda grew up in Idaho and Spencer grew up in Arizona. The chances of them meeting and falling in love probably were pretty low with that many miles in between their childhood homes. Luckily, fate took over and sent them both to the south to serve their missions in Atlanta, Georgia. Their mission is super tight knit and they all came home as best friends. Spencer would call Amanda up every few months to see how life was going at Utah State University. They were good friends but never really thought of dating until the day that Spencer got a scholarship to none other than Utah State. It was like the cosmos were pushing them to be together. Once he got there, they were basically joined at the hip. Everyone could see how perfect they are for each other. Spencer finally proposed down in SLC last August by recreating a ice skating date complete with Amanda’s favorite gluten free pizza, and a proposal near the Utah State Capitol! She happily said yes to eternity with him!
Amanda is such a sweet heart and totally a go-getter. She got engaged just weeks before leaving the country to go to the Philippines to teach business skills to the people living in Manilla. She went with the Business School’s SEED program and had the time of her life. She planned basically the whole wedding before she left the country and thanks to lots of Skype calls, Spencer was able to hold down the fort back home. She arrived on American soil about 45 hours before we took these pictures and even brought her dress back from the Philippines. It was custom-made by two ladies she met while living there was totally perfect for Amanda’s wedding dreams. Together these two couldn’t stop giggling and laughing. Spencer would sneak in a forehead kiss every time he thought I wasn’t looking, which was totally adorable. We braved the Logan winter snow storm for some magical and snowy images. I’m so excited for these guys to be married at the Logan, UT Temple this month!!!
