Basil and Bloom Sourdough Product Photography – Artisan Bread Brand Shoot for Listings and Social Media
The Basil and Bloom sourdough product photography shoot was one of the yummiest projects we’ve worked on—visually and literally! This shoot was focused on their artisan sourdough bread collection, with the goal of getting high-quality content for each flavor listing, as well as gorgeous group shots for website headers, email launches, and tons of scroll-stopping content for social media.
Each flavor had its own personality, so we made sure to style each loaf with intention. We used our different kitchen backdrops, linen napkins, cutting boards, and warm-toned backdrops to keep the overall vibe earthy, cozy, and homemade—just like their sourdough. We photographed each flavor individually with clean front shots, sliced detail images, and styled setups showing how customers might serve and enjoy the bread.
Once we had all the individual listings covered, we moved into creative group shots—beautiful overhead spreads of all the loaves together, styled to look like a weekend market or family brunch table. These wide compositions work perfectly for web headers and launch emails and immediately give off that artisan, made-with-love feel.
As a product photographer, I love working with food brands because it’s all about engaging the senses—visually capturing texture, warmth, and freshness. With Basil and Bloom, it was important to make each photo feel like an invitation to slow down and enjoy something special. The smell of the bread baking during this shoot didn’t hurt either!
Now Basil and Bloom has a full gallery they can use across platforms—whether it’s showing off a new flavor on Instagram, updating product listings, or prepping for a big newsletter push. Their brand feels more cohesive, delicious, and professional than ever.
