We love the passion that our small businesses have and their drive for success! We work with several businesses who sell on Etsy. I wanted to talk a bit about using brand photography on Etsy.
Product photography
Are you ever shopping online and there aren’t enough photos for you to make a decision about your purchase? That’s where we come in!
It is very important that your product photography is grasping the viewer’s attention. Clean, bright, professional images are the way to go for your etsy listing. You will want to post 2-6 images of your product in different settings. We often take pictures of the product on a plain background, styled on a colored or neutral background and in a real life setting.
Product Descriptions
The title of your product will be one of the first things the viewer/customer comes across when they see your listing. Consider what your customer will type in the search bar when searching for your type of product. Use keywords applicable to your product and keep it simple and accurate.
Header images
Use your product photography for your Etsy Page header image! This will provide consistency throughout your Etsy shop. It will also show your potential customer what your shop is all about. You could create a collage of sorts to use as your header images showcasing multiple products.
Consistent Main Image Thumbnails
Something that makes your Etsy shop look really professional is using the same type of photo for all of your main images. This provides a sleek look when you scroll your Etsy page! Clean, bright and professional images will create trust in your potential customer.
About one of our Etsy brands–
Fabric Flamingo is one of our darling brands that sells cute scrunchies, clippies, and handmade blankets! Marina has used her product photos to create graphics, advertisements, reels and product listings on her etsy shop. I wanted to share a little bit about this cute business!
From the owner, Marina, “My love for sewing stemmed from taking several sewing classes for my major, including Alterations, Pattern Making, and Advanced Sewing. One day, I was helping my sister make a pillowcase and I decided that I really enjoyed making things, why not sell them, too!
I started this business to help pay for my husband’s last few semesters of college while he was doing his unpaid internship. He has since graduated, we have added sweet little Charlotte to our family, and we have our own home! My dream now is to be able to quit my office job and work my small business at home with my baby. Whenever you place an order, you are helping me pay for groceries, baby stuff, our home, and other monthly bills! I SO appreciate it! Customers like you are helping keep this business strong.
Each order is hand-cut and sewn by me in my own home. I love, love, love picking out fabrics, and making new designs. Every time I finish a product, it fills me with such joy! They are all just so darn cute!”
