Wedding Photography Details | The Meaningful Touches from Janis & Bruce’s Big Day

Wedding Photography Details | The Meaningful Touches from Janis & Bruce’s Big Day

There’s something about wedding photography details that tells the heart of the celebration—and Janis and Bruce’s wedding was full of them. Every piece of their day was handpicked with meaning, from the gown to the guest list, and capturing those little moments was such a joy.

Janis wore an elegant gown from Malmrose Bridal in South Jordan. It was timeless, graceful, and perfectly suited to her. But the most meaningful part of her outfit was the beautiful tennis bracelet she wore—a gift from her late mother. That simple piece held so much memory and love, and it was a quiet but powerful reminder that her mom was right there with her.

This wasn’t your typical first wedding. Janis and Bruce had both been married before, and at first, they considered keeping things simple—a small ceremony, maybe just a few friends. But their grandkids and children had other plans. They reminded them that this was worth celebrating. That love—especially the lasting kind—deserves a full-on party. And what a party it was!

From the modern vibe of The Armory at Murray Park to the carefully curated vendors, every element reflected who Janis and Bruce are: kind, joyful, and completely in love. The outdoor space was perfect for guests to mingle, sip soda from the custom soda bar, and take silly photos in the vintage photo booth.

Let’s talk vendors for a sec because this dream team delivered:

💍 Rings: Anthony Payne Jewelers

💐 Florals: Draper Flower Pros (designed by James Belcher)

🕺 DJ: Richie Steadman & Jonathan Marriott – Best DJ in Utah

🧁 Cake: Granite Bakery

🎥 Videographer: Adam Hale with Utah Photo Lounge

💄 Hair: Carrie Larson

📷 Jewelry Stylist: Jennifer Taylor at Payne Anthony Jewelry (and a happy past client who referred Janis to me!)

🥂 Catering: Perennial Parties – by Bob & Lori Martin

👗 Gown & Veil: Malmrose Bridal

🤵 Suit: Nordstrom

One of the sweetest moments came after the day was over. Janis reached out and sent the kindest words:

“We just looked at all of the pictures. So fun to relive all the memories of our wedding. The pictures are wonderful, and I loved your creativity and how you captured different moments… I will happily recommend you to everyone I know for pictures. Thank you so much!”

It’s messages like that which remind me why I love what I do. Wedding photography isn’t just about portraits—it’s about telling the story through the little things: the bracelet passed down through generations, the way the sun hit the bouquet, the laughter in a photo booth, and the way everyone pulled together to make the day unforgettable.

Let’s Capture the Meaningful Details of Your Day

Your wedding is about more than the big moments—it’s the tiny, beautiful details that make it yours. If you’re looking for wedding photography that focuses on connection, meaning, and those once-in-a-lifetime touches, I’d love to chat.
