Meet Cara Brook: a famous beauty blogger and make up artist that revolutionized make up. After blogging for a few years and doing thousands of make up tutorials, she saw a huge gap in the market that she was determined to fix.
In 2013, Cara created. It was so powerful it could enhance skin tone, cover up blemishes and dark circles, sculpt features and create the perfect glow on your face with one quick application. Instead of covering up our faces, she created a product that enhanced our natural beauty.
The name Maskcara comes from a school project, and its based off of Cara’s name.
For my 5th grade science project I created a clay mask that form fitted to my face. The idea was you can put the makeup on the mask before bed, then in the morning you’d just smash it to your face and voila! makeup finished! I created it because I figured it afforded me my two favorite things makeup & sleeping in.It didn’t really work:) but I never gave up on the idea to make makeup easier and more fun.
3D foundation is Maskcara’s first real product. ;) A product so good that Sephora and many other beauty stores wanted it. She was selling Maskcara straight from her beauty blog, crashing the server with each launch. Cara was noticing women getting together to share the product and teach each other how to use it.
Maskcara Beauty shifted into a direct sales company in 2017. Cara wanted to reward these women that were loving and sharing her product with an affiliate program that could hit the masses. Since then, it has exploded. And broken so many records.
If it came down to choosing a beautiful life or a flawless face, our choice would be a beautiful life every time. But wouldn’t it be great if you could have both? We believe makeup should be fun, easy, and quick! Maskcara Beauty was founded on the idea that makeup should be used to enhance the true beauty in a woman’s face, rather than covering it up.
