What you might not be able to tell from these ADORABLE pictures is that it was only 37 degrees outside. Green Canyon Pictures Logan can be cold! It felt even colder than that in the shade, which is where the good light was. Photographing Small Kids in Cold Weather can be very challenging. Whenever I’m photographing young kids my priority is going to be efficiency, but having a 4-week-old in this cold of weather puts a different type of pressure on me. We had the car close so that anytime the baby wasn’t being photographed we could put him in the car. I would switch off between doing individual portraits of the children and then a whole family picture. I break up my system so that everyone can have a turn warming up in the car.
