Weddings are bitter sweet for me. First I get to interact with my couples at the bridal consultation. Also the engagement session, first look, and then the wedding day. So I get to spend months interacting with them. I get to hear about all the details, vendors, and ups an downs of planning a wedding. After the wedding I feel like I’ve just finished my favorite book. I’ve become attached to my sweet couples and their love stories, and then I send them off into the world and wish them good luck. Being part of someone’s love story is the best type of book to live.
One of my first memories of Rachel and Brian was talking to them during their bridal consultation. When I asked Rachel and Brian who the important people were that they wanted to remember on their wedding day, they both responded with their families. They both had important people that weren’t able to be there and people they wanted to remember on their wedding day. I was so touched by how much they loved their families and how much their families were apart of their day.
Every time Rachel and Brian’s story, I heard two versions, mostly the same, a few minor differences. Rachel’s version and Brian’s version vary a bit. The best part is Brian saying that Rachel made him dinner a few times. Rachel always replies with “I made you a LOT of dinners”.
Because Rachel studied abroad in Paris, the reception was French themed. Golds, Blush, Creme Brûlée, live Harpist and Sparkling Grape Juice. I especially love the live harpist. Rachel’s mom handmade every invited and macaroon for the reception. This wedding was full of special details for the bride and groom.
