5 Tips For Having House Guests | Hospitality Tips

5 Tips For Having House Guests | Hospitality Tips

Between all the traveling I’ve done this year I’ve stayed at so many different places. Hotels, VRBO’s, families houses, friend’s in-laws, friend’s siblings houses, and I’ve even camped a few times. There have been some extra things that I’ve seen along that way that have made my stay so much more enjoyable!

1. Accesible Wifi Password

I didn’t know this could be such a perk, until I got to my friend’s sisters house, and I didn’t have to ask for the wifi password. She just had a little piece of paper on the bedside table and it made my life so much easier. I got in late and had to work to do. Just as I was wondering how in the world I was going to upload a gallery, I noticed the password and I was blown away. It’s such a simple thing, but it really made it so nice!

2. Easy To Grab Breakfast

I was staying at a friend’s sister’s house and I had to leave at 5:00 am for a photoshoot. She left a banana and granola bar out on the counter for me. Again it was something that I never expected but it helped my day so much! It was an easy to grab, on the go breakfast, and it was just what I didn’t know I needed.

3. Bed Time Snack

You never know what time  your guests are going to finally arrive. There are so many variables that affect travel and the last thing they have on their mind is usually food. Having a little snack on their bedside table that isn’t perishable is sure to make their evening better!

4. Water Bottle

When you are staying at someone else’s house the last thing you want to do is dirty a dish for something like a glass of water. Maybe it’s just me, but I really have gone without drinking because I’m like I don’t want to make them do the dishes. If you leave out a water filter pitcher and a few water bottles it makes it so they are comfortable and don’t have to rummage through your kitchen to find you glasses.

5. Extra Toiletries

Okay— I know this is extra extra. But I CANNOT tell you how often I forget my toothbrush or another toiletry. I mean no one wants to ask the person they are staying with if they have a tampon. Having toiletries either in their room or bathroom is really the cherry on top.
