Amundsen | Beautiful Bear Lake Pictures

The sun was shining bright for us on the evening of the Amundsen Family’s Beautiful Bear Lake Pictures! I had been up there the night before for the Michael’s family pictures, and it had rained and sprinkled on us off and on until the end of the session! We are here for you no matter what the weather does! ;)

BLUE AND WHITE FAMILY OUTFITS

I love when families come so well coordinated, and the Amundsen’s were no exception. They styled themselves in shades of blue and white and looked absolutely timeless. It’s a huge feat to be able to get this many people ready! All the parents did a great job getting kiddos ready and excited for pictures too! I didn’t even have to head swap on single person on the big group picture. That felt rare!!

GROUP SHOT POSES

Unless we have families coming later, my first order of business is getting the big group shot. Everyone is generally happy and ready! Kids haven’t had a chance to ruffle hair or rumple clothes. Adults are ready! My method is to get the traditional group shot with everyone close together and smiling! Then if kids are happy, we’ll do a fun moments one where everyone is looking at each other and interacting. Last I’ll tell everyone to clump with your crew! Once everyone is with their own family I make sure there’s enough space between each to visually separate each family. I love the more modern look it gives group pictures!

INDIVIDUAL SHOTS

As long as kiddos are willing, I love getting a portrait of every single person! It’s always fun to get a little tiny taste of each of their personalities. Some kiddos will pull their shoulders up shyly, while others throw their arms out and give me 10 poses in 2 minutes. Each is perfect!!
