This afternoon I uploaded a video to Youtube that was apparently linked to my Facebook account. As soon as the video was uploaded, it let my Facebook friends know my video was live. Thanks YouTube…. I didn’t catch it until I started getting comments and messages. The video was shortly deleted but apparently may still be showing for some. Guess it was time to go public…

When is your due date? October 21, 2014

Was it planned? No, in fact Luke wanted to wait one more year in between Brody and baby #2. I, on the other hand, was very baby hungry and ready. We got pregnant a few days after my second birth story. Coincidence? Not so sure ;) Now that we know we are expecting we are both thrilled and cannot wait for Brody to be a big brother!

Boy or Girl? Of course I want a baby girl but I know that two boys so close together would be so much fun too! We will definitely be finding out as soon as we can.

How have you been feeling? Horrible.10xs worse than last time. Nauseous, anxious, extremely tired, grumpy, etc. I’m looking forward to second trimester because usually it’s smooth sailing for me from 12 weeks on! The sickness and fatigue started letting up this week though, thankfully!!

The Reactions:

Last time we announced a pregnancy the reactions were not what we expected. (P.S. Pregnancy Video Announcement s are kinda our thing.) Pretty much everyone thought we weren’t serious. It didn’t help that we told a lot of our family on April Fools Day. Our bad ;). This time I knew the reactions were going to be good so I recorded the ones I knew would be fun to watch again.

Luke & Brody

I found out I was pregnant on February 13th. Valentine’s day was the next day so I really wanted to announce it to Luke in a cute way. What started as a little photo book project turned into a video. When Luke got home we sat him down in front of the TV and started the video. It wasn’t suspicious since I have been practicing videography lately and it started as a tribute to dad video. He totally cried…and laughed. It was perfect. (Best reactions starts at 1:20)

Mom & Dad

I was trying to wait to tell the rest of our family when we were further along. My mom and some of my siblings were coming up when I was 12 weeks along and I thought it would be perfect to tell them all together but I couldn’t wait that long! My mom was the first to know over FaceTime and the call was dropped right when she found out, so her reaction is not recorded unfortunately. But it’s okay because a few minutes later she called my dad down to watch it and you can see them both laughing and crying. (Best reactions starts at 0:45)

5 minutes after we got off FaceTime the text messages came pouring in from my mom… “Are you going to find out the sex of the baby?” “I need to start shopping.” “What was Brooklyn’s reaction?” etc, etc.

Lisa & Flint

Unfortunately I messed up on the record button with Flint, Brady and Chase also but there was lots of excitement, a bit of rewinding and some “Awesome Balls!” type remarks! Flint and Chase helped me tell Lisa over Facetime! Soo cute! I messed up on the sounds though…so it will be silent :(

Bruce

Luke really wanted his Dad to be the first of our family to know. He jokingly came home a few nights ago, after visiting with his Dad, and jokingly told me that he informed his Dad of our pregnancy. When we started talking about telling all of the family we couldn’t remember if Luke had actually told him or not. He was 90% sure he had. This afternoon he called Bruce and, feeling confident his Dad already new, said “hey – I told you we were having a baby – right?”. There was excitement and shock in Bruce’s voice when he replied “No, but congratulations!” Luke was a little disappointed in himself for ruining the surprise but was happy to hear his Dad’s reaction over the phone!

Siblings

Brooklyn was the first person to know besides us because she stayed at my house when I was sick and tired. Brooklyn tends to have the best reaction to this kind of news. The rest of us are happy on the inside but hold back the tears ;). Lauren knew before I showed her the video. I walked into her house and she said “Show me your belly.” (Which is not showing yet…) Then, she was practically on the floor laughing from all the reaction videos. Hahah.. Before I showed her the video she said, “Just so you know.. I’m not going to cry.” She was really excited though. Austin said “WHAT?!” and Adam said “Whhhhat?! That’s WEIRD!” Both with big wide eyes and smiles. Emmalee was confused and then really excited.
