Preparing for a Fresh 48 Photography Session

As a new mom, you’ve just gone through one of the most incredible experiences of your life. Now that you’re settling into life in the hospital with your newborn, consider immortalizing this special moment in time with a Fresh 48 San Diego photography session! These sessions are perfect for capturing those first precious moments with your little one and their brand-new family. Read on to discover how to make sure you’re prepared and ready for a beautiful Fresh 48 session.

Outfits

When it comes to outfits, comfort is key! Consider wearing something cozy like cute pajamas or a robe. Coordinating with your partner is always a good idea too. This will help create some nice visual unity in the photos. Since little babies can get agitated easily, it’s best to stick to neutral colors and have just one outfit for them. Don’t forget to bring along some swaddles too!

Room

To make sure you get the best results from your session, we’ll do our best to shoot close to available window light. To make room for photos and avoid clutter, simply move all belongings on the other side of the room before we arrive.

Breast Feeding: It can be really special if you decide that you want pictures of baby nursing during the session. This will help capture an intimate moment between mother and child that will remain priceless forever!

Props

Feel free to bring props to incorporate into the session. For example; stuffed animals or a letter board with announcements. The more personal touches, the better.

Most of all relax and have fun – this is an incredibly intimate time between your family before all of the hustle and bustle sets in once everyone arrives home from the hospital!
