Baptism and Blessing Photos at the Layton Utah Temple

Some sessions just hit different—and this one was pure magic. Photographing Blessing Photos at the Layton Temple alongside baptism portraits felt like such a gift. I got to meet up with the sweetest family to celebrate two milestones in one meaningful shoot: Gavin’s baptism and his baby sister’s special blessing. Double the milestones, double the joy!

Baptism Photos for an Amazing 8-Year-Old

Gavin absolutely stole the show. He showed up in a crisp blue suit, looking sharp and confident. I swear that shade of blue is made for little boys—it pops beautifully against the white stone of the Layton Utah Temple. More than that, Gavin was such a gentleman. Polite, kind, and full of smiles, he made my job easy. Photographing him was like spending time with a tiny grown-up, and I loved capturing his personality on such a big day.

The temple grounds gave us the perfect backdrop. Clean lines, soft natural light, and that timeless white stone made every image feel classic. We kicked off with portraits of Gavin to mark his baptism, and he nailed every pose. Those photos are going to be treasures for years to come.

Next, it was baby sister’s turn in front of the camera! She wore the sweetest little blessing outfit, all soft whites and delicate details. Seeing her with Gavin melted my heart. He held her so gently, and the way he looked at her showed just how much he adored her.

Sibling photos are always special, but these were something else. The connection between them was so pure. Those tender little snuggles and big brother’s protective hands made for some of my favorite images from the whole session.
