We (mostly I) have been impatiently awaiting this day for many weeks. Today was the day we would finally find out if we were having a boy or a girl. With Brody, I knew it was a boy and with this pregnancy, I was guessing girl from the very start. I already started buying headbands and and lace accessories and I’ve referred to her as Piper for weeks. Yes, people have been making fun of me and telling me how disappointed I was going to be if it was a girl, but I kept doing it. When the ultrasound tech told us we were having a baby girl, I was swept over with many emotions and I was so happy I choked up. Yay I’m having a baby girl!!! I get to start fresh on baby clothes shopping. We don’t have to re-train Brody the baby’s name. I’m kinda scared to be a girl mom because I know nothing about baby girls and I can’t do hair…at all! But mostly, I am so EXCiTED!
The gender reveal picture taking session was an epic fail. Brody loved the balloons then hated them and only worked for candy. All three original balloons popped before we got even just one good picture so we went back to the store and bought four more. It was hot, we were tired and it wasn’t working up. Thankfully we found a shaded spot and more candy and ended up with two balloons and the cutest ever picture to send to all our family!
