These Georgetown engagements are everything I’ve dreamed of. Some of my favorite photographers are located in Virginia. I’ve seen a lot of Georgetown engagements. It was one of my only requests for D.C. and the only thing that could have made it better was photographing two of my best friends. When I was 18 I packed up my bags and moved across the country to North Carolina. I didn’t know anyone and it was an entirely different world. The first person to befriend me was Kyle Harlos. If you asked me then I would have never guessed that seven years later I’d be flying to D.C. to take Kyle’s engagement pictures. I’m so grateful that our friendship has continued and strengthened over the years. Kyle is one of the most giving people I know. Kaylie definitely matches and surpasses him in generosity and love for others. They are such a power couple filled with style and class.

I remember the first time Kyle called me and told me about Kaylie. I feel so lucky to have watched that relationship grow from “the girl Kyle is dating” into the two people ready to commit to each other forever. Some of my favorite memories with Kaylie are listening to her talk about her family. Kaylie has a whole bunch of neices and nephews. She loves them so much! I loved spending the weekend with them in D.C. because I got to learn all about their wedding plans. In every detail Kaylie has considered her family and how she can make the day special for them as well. They are having an entire family vacation for their wedding weekend. They have rented houses to host both the Clark and Harlos families together. It’s going to be a beautiful unity of two families and I can’t wait to celebrate with them.
