Tanner is a Cache Valley boy. Amy is a Georgia girl. Their love story spans a country and culminated last weekend in a splendid early spring wedding, with sprinkles of Southern charm and lots of family and friends. I got to meet Amy and Tanner over Christmas break and I knew from our first meeting they were a one of a kind couple. They met each other while both living in the South, at a YSA event. Something that started as friendship slowly turned into love and finally now that they are married they finally get to live in the same state together. Not only are they beautiful, but they are educated. Tanner is working on his Ph.D (smartest groom I know) and Amy has been working in the journalism field.
They are the sweetest couple, and their day was so relaxed and warm! Hot actually! They had family and friends fly in from all over the country and even some cousins came from England and Wales! Their wedding was held at the Logan, UT LDS Temple on an unusually busy day (due to spring break at USU) and the thermometers hit record highs for the first week of March. We gathered the group of family and friends for pictures in front of the temple, their matching Navy blue dresses, bowties and grey suits all blending together for amazing family portraits. One of my favorite Southern inspired details was the monograms (done by the amazing Cache Design! aka Tanners Mom) on the ribbons of the bouquets for each of the bridesmaids. Amy had her hair and makeup done by Tia Celise and looked so polished and feminine. Dahlia’s Event Planning set up a stylish reception at the Logan City Golf Course. Cake by the amazing Graceful Baker, and dress by Lorna’s Bridal.
There was plenty of time for dancing after a special ring ceremony and dinner catered by Iron Gate Grill. It was a blast dancing around with all the kids, bridesmaids and cousins all night long!! They were sent off by all of their family with bells and ribbons on sticks. I’m so excited for them to embark on their journey as a married couple!
