I bought this $19 camera bag for my dslr after my friend recommended it. I was a little skeptical at first because $19 is less than the disposable waterproof cameras. ALSO, I’m putting a camera that costs thousands into something that’s less than $20.
At first I was very careful. I put my camera in the bag when we were near water. I wanted to keep it dry from splashing, slipping or any other water issues. (Remember how I lost my last camera to the ocean last summer from tripping)
I dipped it in slowly to make sure it was dry, and then a little more until it was fully submerged. The inside of the bag stayed COMPLETELY dry. I’m not a pro (yet) but I had a lot of fun and was able to take picture in the pools and in the ocean without worrying about ruining my camera.
Some tips:
- Dip your camera in very slowly to make sure it’s completely tight.
- It works best in clear water. You won’t be able to see 10 feet in front of you if you can’t see 10 feet in front of you with your bare eye.
- Set your settings before you put it in the bag.
- Tie a rubberband around the front of the bag so it’s tight on your lens.
