It’s been another four weeks so that means it’s time for another pregnancy update! I am now 34.5 weeks, which means less than 6 weeks until I’m holding my sweet baby girl. Woooohooo. Last night we got maternity pictures by the amazing Casey James Photography, with hair and make up by B Beautiful Artistry. I will definitely post more as they come, but for now here’s a little sneak peek:
BABY UPDATES:
HOW FAR ALONG: 34 weeks & 3 days (which is 8 months)
HOW BIG IS BABY: Our baby is the size of a bigger butternut squash. She is approximately 4.2-5.8 lbs and 17.2-18.7 inches long.
MOVEMENT: My entire belly is rockin’ and rollin’ all day long. I can’t tell what part is a hand and what part is a foot because when one side of my belly moves, so does the other. I feel her down low, up high in the ribs and on both sides. When it’s quiet and then there’s a sudden loud noise, she jumps. It’s hilarious. She’s also had the hiccups a few times this week.
MOMMA UPDATES:
FEELING: Just the typical backaches, hip pains, stretch marks, insomnia, shortness of breath and leg cramps that come with third trimester bliss, but I have my biweekly chiropractor appointments, ice packs and Benadryl to get me through it. I’m seriously just grateful the nausea is gone! I feel great! I’ve been having a ton of Braxton hicks contractions, which I never really experienced with Brody!
A few weeks ago I had my third crazy reaction to the anxiety meds I was trying. I had “food poisoning” for the third time this pregnancy, my second hospital/IV trip and finally realized that it was caused by the meds. I’m so relieved to know what the “food poisoning” was caused from and now just trying natural anxiety-relief remedies.
DOCTOR’S APPOINTMENT: My last doctor’s appointment on Monday. Heartbeat was strong, belly was measuring on track and no deficiencies.
WEIGHT GAIN: Around 22 lbs.
CRAVINGS: Fruit, Ice Water, Clorox Bleach Wipes, Laundry Soap – just the normal stuff. ;)
SLEEP: Full-blown pregnancy insomnia at night and during nap time. Thankfully, I have lots of work to do so staying up really late isn’t horrible…until the 5:30AM wake up call. Thanks Brody.
STRETCH MARKS: They mix in well with the old ones so who knows how many ;)
THINGS I’M SO EXCITED FOR/ABOUT:
- Maternity photos… I can’t wait to see them!!!
- Maternity leave… which somehow keeps getting pushed out closer and closer to my due date. It was supposed to be this week, but now it’s 38 weeks. Woo. 4 more weeks, 2 more weddings, 1 more vacation and 5 more shoots. I’m excited to have a few weeks to focus on getting everything clean and put together for Piper’s arrival.
- Finishing shopping… I have been adding all the things I can think of to my Amazon cart. My plan is to hold off as long as I can and if I go into labor, I’ll hit check out and have everything on my doorstep by the time I get home. ;)
- Piper’s newborn pictures… Collecting props, wraps and backdrops is my latest obsession.
- Brody meeting his baby sister…. He loves our little Piper girl, and her blanket.
