Friends First

Wow, Antelope Island morning engagements with these two totally took my breath away!! Their love story started out pretty slow and steady. They told me that they were in the same ward and friend group. Their friendship took some time to build, but a turning point in their relationship was a trip with friends to Puerto Rico! They got to go on this trip and see each other in new light. This trip was the first time they started to see each other as someone they might enjoy dating.

Kylie is my kind of girl and she decided it was time to make something happen! They told me that they shared their first kiss, even before their first date! They still aren’t sure what their first date was exactly. This is because they enjoy going on drives up the canyon listening to Taylor Swift, go on weekend trips and find places with yummy food to eat. Christian popped the question earlier this winter with a stunning deep blue sapphire ring and Kylie was so thrilled to say yes!

Antelope Island Morning Engagements

Finally now that it has warmed up, we could celebrate their engagement with pictures! We got rained out of our first session we scheduled, but looking back, I think we lucked out changing to a perfect day! Kylie and Christian chose a morning session at Antelope Island and I was stoked!! The unique lighting situations of shooting in the sunrise light made it so it looked like we had three separate sessions!

I’m so glad these guys woke up early to hang out with me and they definitely earned these amazing images with amazing light! They picked out the perfect outfits to match the backdrop. We laughed all morning and even saw a few bunnies bouncing around us. I love the way these two just feel like they have known each other for years already. Kylie loves to tease and laugh with Christian and Christian is so in love and sweet with her. We listened to music and explored the island together! They were up for the adventure and I can’t wait to see the amazing adventure that comes to them in their life! Enjoy these Antelope Island morning engagements!
