When it comes to keeping product photography fresh and engaging, themed shoots are one of my favorite ways to bring new life to a brand’s content. This baby product photography ideas session was centered around a fun Mardi Gras theme, creating a playful and colorful take on everyday baby essentials.
For this shoot, I worked with a collection of baby products designed to make life easier for parents—everything from washable bibs and feeding essentials to soft blankets and teething toys. What I love about photographing products like these is finding creative ways to showcase their function while still making the images feel fun and memorable.

Baby Product Photography Ideas with a Seasonal Theme
One of the goals with ongoing commercial sessions is to create a variety of content that brands can use throughout the year. Seasonal or themed shoots are a great way to do that.
For this Mardi Gras-inspired session, I leaned into the bold, festive colors the holiday is known for—purples, greens, and golds—while still keeping the overall look clean and brand-friendly. The challenge with themed product photography is striking the right balance between creative styling and keeping the product as the main focus.
Instead of overwhelming the scene with props, I used simple elements to hint at the theme while allowing the baby products to stand out.
