Bride Tip | Wedding Dances

Bride Tip | Wedding Dances

Wedding dances are some of the most special moments you will have on a dance floor. Dancing with your new groom is the best feeling ever. After the hustle and bustle of the wedding day, everything melts away to just you two on the dance floor. Daddy-daughter and mother-son dances can be just as special!

Daddy-Daughter, Mother-Son Dances

Don’t be afraid to talk to your dad about the dance before it happens! I know I had much different expectations in my head about my daddy-daughter dance than my dad did. Make sure you’re on the same page. Also, choose a few songs that you like and have your dad add some input for your daddy-daughter dance. Having a song that is special to you and your dad makes the moment so much better. Leave the song planning for the mother-son dances up to your husband-to-be and his mom! If you don’t feel like you have a traditional family, find a variation of these traditional dances that work for you and your situation.

Bride & Groom First Dance

Your first dance with your now husband is so special. Don’t be afraid to focus on him, the music, and let the crowd melt away. You’ll remember the feeling for the rest of your life! As far as song choices, make sure you two are in agreement on the song you dance to. It will make the moment amazing and full of love!

Choreographed Wedding Dances

Choreographed dances at wedding receptions are the best! It adds an element of surprise and livens up the whole crowd for a little dancing. Whether it’s you or your husband, your husband and his mom, or you, your dad, your husband, and his mom on the dance floor, choreographed dances are such a fun mix-up to a wedding tradition!
