Have you ever seen such an adorable cake smash?

Britt texted me a few days before Lily’s birthday to set up a cake smash. She decided to gather up outfits for all her kids to celebrate the big ONE. The morning of the shoot, she threw in a dress for herself even though it had been a week since she washed her hair. She called her husband and asked if he could leave work real quick, get changed and do a quick family session.

I LOVE that Britt didn’t make a big fuss about her hair or make up — and just got in the shot  exactly how she looked. These are some of my favorite family pictures ever. A lot of times we stress SO much about family pictures, make up, hair, etc, that we don’t even enjoy the pictures. AND we make it miserable for our kids and husbands too. Britt is the best example to me of going with the flow, being patient and showing up for her kids and family.
