Are you excited to hear one of the best love stories I have heard this year? Skyler and Yarina are made for each other, even though they grew up oceans apart. Yarina grew up on an island called Aruba and Skyler grew up in Cache Valley. He headed to the Netherlands to serve a 2 year LDS mission, little did he know he’d come home in-love. He met Yarina in one of the areas he served, where she was working as a paralegal. He knew there was something special about her and got permission to write her on and off for the rest of his time in the Netherlands. She surprised him by flying to Utah to hear him at his homecoming! He then flew back to the Europe a few months later to propose. Now they are together and they couldn’t be more in love.

We squeezed their session into the Saturday morning of the Kylee Ann Sleepover to make sure they have plenty of time to ship their announcements to family in Aruba. The morning was clear, with fluffy new snow from the night before. I don’t even think they felt the cold because they were having too much fun snuggling, playing, and kissing in the fresh powder. Yarina said she hadn’t seen snow in almost 5 years! I love playful couples who help to create images like those below. When we got to the end, I gave them the idea of throwing snow into the air for their last pose… but Skyler took the hint and created a full on snowball fight. Can’t wait for their Salt Lake City wedding in March!
