These two. A story of love and hope.

We tracked through FEET of mud to take these gorgeous wedding photos in the mountains. Cara was wearing super skinny stiletto shoes. My husband drove me to the session because I was afraid I’d get stuck in his truck at the location. When I saw her shoes, I asked Luke for his snow booties. We threw the stilettos inside the snow booties and she walked up the hill through mud with two layers of shoes.
It was hilarious.
And the photos were straight magic.
Loved taking these gorgeous Cache Valley Engagements.

Picking the Perfect Photo for your Wedding Announcement
Whether you met online or in person, through friends or family – it doesn’t matter! You’re getting married and it’s time to spread the news. But wait, do you have that perfect photo of the two of you ready for a wedding announcement? Not sure where to start? Don’t worry – we’ve got your back. Here are a few tips on how to pick the perfect photo to share with friends and family.
1. Think About Your Style and Personality
Do you want something serious or goofy? Traditional or artsy? Think about what style suits both of your personalities and decide on that before picking a photo. If you’re more traditional, go for a posed shot with nice clothes and smiles all around. For something artsy, try capturing an intimate moment between the two of you as opposed to just smiling into the camera. Your wedding announcement should capture both your individual personalities as well as your relationship in general – make sure you keep this in mind when selecting your image!
2. Be True to Yourself
At the end of day, pick whatever feels right! If there are photos that make you laugh every time you look at them – send those out! If there are photos that bring tears to your eyes because they remind you how much love exists between the two of you – send those out too! The goal is for everyone else (including yourself) to feel something powerful when looking at this photo – so trust yourself and pick what speaks directly from your heart.
Picking out a photo for your wedding announcement doesn’t have to be hard work – it can actually be quite fun if done correctly! Just remember – choose something recent, meaningful, stylish and true-to-you…and don’t forget to smile big for the camera! With these helpful tips in mind, we hope finding the perfect photo will be a breeze for any bride or groom-to-be out there!
