There is something so special about photographing a baby’s first birthday. You only get one chance to document that tiny first-year stage, and I love when families put thought into creating a session that feels completely personal to them.
Easton’s first birthday session was exactly that. His parents, the Light family, came into the session knowing what they wanted, and we planned all of the details together—from the cake and balloons to their outfits.

One of the best things you can do before a first birthday session is think about the overall look and feeling you want.
The Light family did a great job communicating their vision ahead of time, which meant we could plan the details before they ever stepped into the studio.
