Chantelle and Kaleb got married at Hearthside. Hearthside Reception Center is this old historic church in the heart of Eden Utah. It’s red big and blossoming trees make it the perfect venue for springtime weddings. Chantelle had originally planned to have her wedding outside, but when the weather turned against us, the reception venue moved it inside without any hesitation at all. They let me show up early so I could start photographing all the detailsI would recommend this venue to anyone!

Before the wedding Chantelle had texted me to remind me how important her mother is to her. There aren’t a lot of moments that the wedding photographer gets to sit down at the wedding. There REALLY aren’t a lot of moments that the mother of the bride gets to sit down at a wedding. So when the mother of the bride and the wedding photographer get to sit down during the reception and talk, it’s a moment you don’t forget. I was talking to Dana, the mother of the bride, and telling her what a genuine person Chantelle is. Seriously, she had a detail included in her wedding for every single person in attendance. She thinks things through, and lets people know how important they are.

So during this rare moment, that I got to talk to Dana, she shared with me that when she was pregnant with Chantelle, she felt like she was waiting to meet her best friend. They are absolute best friends. Chantelle appreciates her relationship with her mother so much, and it’s been that way since before she was born.

Just before the wedding ceremony, Chantelle, Kaleb, and I snuck off to this secluded gazebo outside and they practiced their first dance. It was intimate, no one was watching, and you could feel the love between the two of them just moments before they became husband and wife.
