Iman & Cami | A Snowy Formal Session at Storm Mountain
When a couple is drawn to adventure, their formal photos should reflect that spirit. Iman and Cami envisioned something bold, wintry, and full of movement—snow-covered pines, mountain air, and scenery that feels larger than life. Their snowy formal session at Storm Mountain delivered all of that and more, creating imagery that feels both cinematic and deeply personal.
We originally planned for a Silver Lake first look, but winter had other ideas. With snowfall deep enough to require snowshoes, we pivoted and leaned fully into the adventure. The session began with a quiet, intimate first look in the snow before we slowly worked our way down Big Cottonwood Canyon, stopping at a few meaningful locations along the way—including a brief return to Jordan Pines, where their engagement photos were taken.

Storm Mountain was where everything came together. The dramatic cliffs, sweeping snowdrifts, and moody winter light created a breathtaking backdrop that felt straight out of a fairytale. Snow softened the landscape while the rugged terrain added contrast and depth, giving the images a timeless, editorial feel.
Cami’s dress moved effortlessly against the white snow, adding softness and romance, while Iman’s classic styling balanced the scene with a grounded, masculine edge. Wind, laughter, and genuine connection carried the session forward, making the cold feel like part of the story rather than an obstacle.
A snowy formal session at Storm Mountain isn’t just about beautiful scenery—it’s about creating an experience that feels intentional and unforgettable. Winter formals allow couples to step outside the expected and embrace something truly unique.

Why Snowy Mountain Formals Are Worth It
-
Visually striking: Snow creates a clean, dramatic canvas that elevates every image.
-
Rich in texture and mood: Soft snow paired with rugged mountains adds depth and emotion.
-
Deeply personal: For outdoorsy couples, winter sessions feel authentic and meaningful.
Winter formals also photograph beautifully because snow naturally reflects light, creating a soft glow that enhances skin tones and fabric movement. When paired with thoughtful planning and flexibility, these sessions feel adventurous without being overwhelming.
If you’re dreaming of mountain formals that feel bold, romantic, and timeless, a snowy formal session at Storm Mountain offers a one-of-a-kind setting. I help couples plan winter sessions that feel seamless, intentional, and true to their story—so the experience is just as memorable as the images themselves.
