Mendon Family Pictures Cache Valley
I’ve been sitting on this gorgeous session for way too long. Mendon Family Pictures Cache Valley! The prettiest. This fall family session is one of my favorites. We hit this Cache Valley location at the start of fall when the colors had just started to turn. The cream romper and rust dress was a perfect fit for the neutral fall colors.
5 Tips to Help You Prepare for Fall Family Pictures
Are you planning to take family photos this Fall? If you want your family photos to come out looking their best, here are my top 5 tips for preparing for fall family pictures.
1. Choose a Color Palette That Matches the Season
Fall colors can be warm and cozy or bright and vibrant. When choosing your wardrobe colors, try to pick shades that match the season—think earthy tones like yellows, oranges, reds, and browns. Avoid wearing too much black as it can look too dark in photos. Instead, opt for navy blues or other deep jewel tones that will add depth to the photo without overpowering it.
2. Don’t Wait Until the Last Minute
I recommend planning your wardrobe at least one week before your session. This will give you time to make any necessary adjustments if something doesn’t fit right or if someone spills something on their outfit last minute (it happens!). Waiting until the last minute also increases the likelihood of forgetting something important. Planning ahead will help ensure everything is ready when it’s time for your photo session.
3. Accessorize!
Accessories can really pull an outfit together and add a unique touch to your photos. Hats are always a great option in the fall months as they can help keep everyone warm during outdoor shoots. You could also bring along some fun props—like leaves, pumpkins, or even just pretty branches from outside—that you can use in your pictures for added interest and texture.
Jewelry is another great way to add depth and personality to an outfit—but don’t go overboard! Choose items that are subtle enough not to distract from the overall look of the photo but interesting enough to make an impact in your images. Headpieces like floral crowns or headbands work well too! Just remember not everyone has to wear them; sometimes one statement piece is enough!
4. Mix Up Your Outfits
Don’t feel obligated to have everyone match exactly! Mixing up different pieces within a shared color palette can create an effortless yet cohesive look while still allowing each person’s individual style shine through in their photos. Try pairing solids with stripes/plaids/patterns; doing so adds visual interest without detracting from the overall aesthetic of your images.
Preparing for fall family pictures doesn’t have to be stressful if you plan ahead and get creative with what you wear! Choosing coordinating colors that match the season plus adding accessories like hats or jewelry are simple ways that you can make sure your family looks its best when it’s time for those perfect shots! With these tips, I’m sure you’ll have an amazing experience capturing memories this Fall season with beautiful photographs that will last forever!
